So I have work to do. But it's beautiful out! So I was thinking about trying to work outside, but I have no idea where might be good. Does anyone have any suggestions for good places near Davis to sit and enjoy the weather while doing work?

powderhouse park? or is that too far away? there's a baseball park on simpson ave that has lots of green space and a few trees to sit under if you don't feel like that much of a walk.

Hmmm...one nice thing about Powderhouse Park is that if you get bored you can always wander down the street to Tufts and use one of their benches or giant trees.

Davis doesn't really have that many *quiet* outdoor spots, now that I think about it. Carberrys and a couple other coffee shops have tables, and folks sunbathe and hang out on the grass in Seven Hills Park, but it seems like there should be more.

I'm fond of the yard outside the West Somerville library branch on College St. I'm not sure it's a park, technically, but it's part of the library and the library is city property, so I figure it's legit. Nice flowers and grass and sometimes a neighborhood cat wanders by.

Those are all great-another place not many people know: there's some beautiful parkland on Rt 16/Alewife Brook Parkway, between the intersection with Broadway (where Foodmaster is), toward where Wild Oats/Starbucks/93 are.
