Happened to turn my head as I was driving by the death mall in PS and noticed that the Gap there is shuttered. Has it been closed a while?

I believe it closed right after Christmas.

No...it closed the week after Christmas, and I was pissed, because hello: convenience. That and the people there were far nicer than at the Central or Harvard Square Gaps...

I'm not a big fan of chains, but I liked this store. As talonvaki said, the staff were quite friendly.

It just closed like a week ago. Word from my GAP friends is that it's just relocating to the back of the Exchange because Lesley wanted to be more present in the street side since it's sort of their headquarters. Not sure if the relocation is opened yet or if there's going to be a lag.

Ahh, that's good to know, though mildly annoying for them that they'll probably have less impulse traffic from Mass Ave. Any word on exactly where in the Exchange? Maybe move the "Barnes and Noble" out of its space because it doesn't really need it, in my opinion?

I'm also wondering if they'll ever find something to fill the old Rustic Kitchen/Metro/whatever restaurant was there before the French one spot - that's been closed for awhile now.

I think the B&N is Lesley's campus bookstore, so they may have a strong reason to keep the space they have.

If people walking and driving on Mass. Ave. can't see the Gap, how will they know it's there?

Just mind it.

Faith, man, faith. Just because you can't see it, doesn't mean it's not there!

It hasn't relocated yet, though I'm not sure where it will go. If it's moving to the back, Blue Fin restaurant and/or the Japanese market would have to move, which is too bad. Blue Fin has great sushi...

Never heard that before. I call it the Japanese Mall.

I always called it the Porter Exchange... or "that little mall at Lesley"

I walked by and it *is* the Porter Exchange. Which makes me feel stupid for not having a cool nickname for it :D.
