A reprieve for Verna's Donuts?

The Alewife reports that Verna's will remain open for at least two more weeks, in order to give a potential new owner time to take it over.

That would be great - so long as the new owner can maintain Verna's quality while making the business more viable to the tastes of the newer residents (alas, or perhaps to their health benefit, the younger residents do not dine on donuts like the older folks). Perhaps everyone wishing for more space in local coffee shops can stroll a couple of blocks to Verna's.
