Apartment Finder in Davis?

A friend of mine is looking for a studio in Davis Square. I wanted to recommend an apartment broker that I worked with last year, at a small office in Davis, but the name escapes me. I think the name of the business had a dot-com theme -- sort of "bostonapartments.com"-like, and was on one of the side streets. Staffed by a very friendly and reasonable older gentleman who did not seem shady at all.

Does anyone know what I'm talking about? Also, any other good people you'd recommend, who wouldn't try to screw her over?

Red Line Realty is great and its right off of Porter Square.

My boyfriend used Red Line Realty and the realtor, John Lowenstein, was really great. We looked at about 20 apartments in one day and never felt rushed.

Red Line Realty is great...they rented me my first apartment in Somerville, and the apartment was actually in the same building as their office. John Lowenstein is a very nice guy.

Yes, I know they'll say they named their business after the train, and they probably did, but how can a real estate agency in Boston be that naive? If you're in Dot or Roxbury and see that name, do you think you'll be wanted in Davis?

Was it allbostonapartments.com? I think I went to that guy a few years ago. If it is the same guy I found hin a bit shady, typical sales guy type. I think he had a winter house in aruba or the carribean?

I can also recommend Sillari Realty, just call them and see if they have anything (they own a bunch of apts...or rather, they did a whole bunch of years ago!).

Maven Realty, right on Highland in Davis, did well by us.

I can't remember the name, but the place on College Ave. that's across from the Store 24 and the Davis station worked out really well for my roommate and I.

I think you mean "Apartment Rental Experts"? I was not pleased with them. We told our realtor we wanted an apartment and it was rented out from under us while my roommate was on her way over with a deposit check. Then they continued to post ads for the same apartment on Craigslist, AFTER it had been rented. The people who worked with us are nice enough, but there seem to be many people working for the company who don't communicate with each other, which leads to lots of frustration.
