One question for you: The description says "This is an online group for moms from the JCFS new moms' group in Somerville". What is "JCFS" ?

Jewish Children and Family Services http://www.jfcsboston.org/ It's a nonprofit that runs a lot of parenting services and support groups in the Boston area (for everyone, not just Jewish people).

And despite what the Yahoo Group description says, you don't have to have participated in a JCFS group to join the SomervilleMoms Yahoo Group -- that's how it got started, but it has evolved into a general group for all Somerville parents.

Thanks. It might be a good idea for the owner of the Yahoo group to change the description now, so nobody is discouraged from joining it.
