Hi all, I have a question on local geography that I haven't found a good answer for yet on the Internets. I'm interested in how the cities & towns around here are divided into neighborhoods, and there are good, easy-to-find maps and other info on those of Somerville and Cambridge, but not for Medford, where I live. The best I've been able to find is a list without further description on Medford's Wikipedia page. I mean, some of the neighborhoods in the Wikipedia list are pretty obvious, but others I really don't know about at all, and still others are omitted. So what I'm wondering is, do any of you know where I could find descriptions or maps of the location of Medford's neighborhoods? Or feel free to just say directly what you yourself know about them in a comment. I raise this question just out of personal curiosity (for instance, I'd like to know whether people consider Hillside to extend to Burget Ave, which is my street) but thinking that maybe others here might find it interesting as well.

And I walk to and from Davis every day on the way to/from work, so don't worry, I am very much connected to the Square despite living at a bit of a remove from it!

I've seen maps of Medford, on city publications and the city website, where the census tracts are labelled as "North Medford", "South Medford", etc. I don't know ( but would like to ) if those names are actually official in the census data or if the city added them to be descriptive.

I would count Burget as "Hillside". Some historical documents may have "Stearns Estates".
