The tagged posts on affordable dry cleaners talk of shirts and pants and kimonos, but nothing of down jackets, which I'm guessing a run-of-the-mill dry cleaner can't do on-premises. Suggestions?

Down can usually be laundered; you may want to check the tags and/or the manufacturer's instructions, before concluding that a cleaner is the best option.

i usually wash mine on delicate with woolite.

Is this post in any way relevant to Davis Square?

I'm pretty sure he was looking for a dry cleaner in the Davis area, and the other two commenters were simply being nice enough to point out that down jackets aren't necessarily supposed to be dry cleaned.

just as relevant as the requests for tailors, cat breeders, guitar repair shops, etc.
