Hello,
   For all those who remember and miss The Amazon Slam (and even those who don't)  there's a reincarnation of sorts tonight, with good music, spoken-word and queers of every kind. Party animals can divide their time between this event and Dyke Night which is just down the street. On Sunday The Poetry Jam will pay tribute to Lisa King, late queer poet extraordinaire. Sunday: Lizard Lounge Poetry Jam

In the feature we will be celebrating the poetry of the late Thomas Grimes and Lisa King, two great local queer poets. Yvette Leaphart, Ren Jender, Gary Hicks and Craig Hickman will be reading Lisa's work, accompanied by The Jeff Robinson Trio. We will also have guest musicians and surprises. Poetry Slam - 7:30pm Featured Poet - 9:30pm Open Mic - 10:30pm
