Just a reminder: The new Davis Square Boloco is giving everyone a free regular-sized burrito today, from 11 am to 7 pm only. They are at 187 Elm Street, the former location of Carberry's/O'Naturals.
Everyone was alarmingly friendly. Burrito was OK (I only like, not love, burritos, so it's hard to get me to say more ;). They're giving out coupons too.
Alarmingly friendly..... perhaps because they finally had some customers. The few times I have walked by since they opened it has ben completely void of customers. But.... they are just starting out at that location and these things can take time.
I unfortunately can't escape work until 5 or so... I hope this isn't like the free Ben & Jerry's days where if you go late in the day there's only one flavor option left and it's the gross one.
Because even though I'll be able to escape work at 5 to grab a burrito, I'll be coming BACK to work until 8. Man, a free burrito would really make me happier about the late hours.
I stopped by at 9pm and was able to get one for $1. I tried the BBQ chicken one (BBQ sauce, corn salsa, rice, caramelized onions) and it was quite tasty. This seems like a good option for fast food on the way home after a long day of work, or on a day where you want to grab a bite to eat while using free wireless. They're also open until 11 which is useful. (I still wish that True Grounds was open later...)
