I have no idea how it stayed around this long, with almost no merchandise on display, open about 4 hours a day.

Maybe it is a front for something or maybe the owner is an old Somerville native in a constant state of bliss, too overwhelmed by un-imagined good fortune in the equity that has been built up in the property to take care of it.

I just spoke with the management company and it looks as though there are no new plans for a store there as of yet. Mr. Cody, the jeweler, wasn't making enough to stay, but is leaving with no hard feelings. I am currently looking at the space for my business, but still have to explore funding options. I will keep everyone posted.
