what to do with dad?

So my father and his fiancee were supposed to come down from NH tonight to finally see where i've been living since last may; meet my cat, eat homemade pizza, and go out to see Beatlejuice at Johnny D's. Unforunately, the show has been cancelled as you can see in the recent posts. So what should I do with my dad instead? He likes music (blues, rock, not punk, not metal) and likes seeing shows (blue man group) but doesn't want to spend $50 to go out. Suggestions?

According to Johhny D's web site, Beatlejuice was supposed to be last night (and cancelled), they have Velvet Elvis tonight. You could take him to that, or you could take him to Passim. Or you could find something to go to on HeyLetsGo (disclosure: I work for them).

Beatlejuice was originally scheduled for both last night and tonight. Sounds like Johnny D's was able to find a replacement act at the very last minute.

thanks for the suggestions- i had settled on taking them over to ImprovBoston for their 8pm or 10pm show, but then he cancelled on me. deadbeat. maybe next time.
