Snow Emergency ?!

I just got woken up by a robo-call from 'Tom Champion' of the City of Somerville, saying that the city is declaring a snow emergency at 10 am, and that all cars must be parked on the odd side of streets by 2 pm. Wha?

Well this totally sucks. I didn't find out about the snow emergency until I got to work. Luckily I work in Cambridge right next to Kendall, so I can jump on the red line to home.

Why didn't they do this last night? They've been talking about this 'huge' storm all week. And from where I'm sitting, it hasn't even started yet! But yes I know something is coming. One of my friends said it was crazy snowing down in CT.
