Road Race TODAY!!!

I'm not complaining, because I do think that having a road race for runners is a great thing -- but if you're thinking driving at all in the Greater Davis Square area today, better point yourself in the opposite direction because it seems like most of the streets are affected, at least the ones that I went through on my way over to the Alewife Whole Foods, and the ones that I took on the way back, swinging wide around via Powderhouse.

(I'd have been much better off to jump onto Rt. 28 and go over to the Whole Foods in Cambridgeport today.)

Get ready, it's 'Road Race Season'! Seems like there is a road race season in the spring and again in the fall. It can get quite irritating if you're in a hurry, and it seems like it's almost every saturday and sunday. Certain streets/areas are particularly hard hit by races. Unfortunately, there's really no good way to get the word out to everyone regarding street closings.
