shit goes down in Davis Square

davis_squareTuesday afternoon I was walking up Grove St., which connects Highland and Elm, and this car turned up it just as I'd started up that way, followed by a stealth cop car.
The plainclothes cops inside then turned on its siren and dashboard police light, and pulled the car over. The cops yelled and drew guns as they approached the vehicle.
At that point I decided it was prudent to turn around and choose a different path home. :-}
It's weird, though. I have no idea what it was about, but it was not something I've ever witnessed in this neighborhood before.

Date: 2002-04-18 05:35 am (UTC)I was waiting for the #80 bus at the bottom of School Street. A number of unmarked cars pulled up and probably around a dozen or so cops all in special teams blacks got out and started surrounding the apartment building across the corner. I'm not sure if I was relieved or upset when the bus came.
