Next Monday, the Sox game is at 10AM. Does anyone know if some of the restaurants with TVs in the Square/Somerville area, like Joshua Tree etc., will be serving brunch on that day? Just curious if anyone knows from past experience before I start calling around. If so, is it usually packed with people?

Thanks!

The Orleans and the new Italian place who's name escapes me (where Yee's/Sauce/Address-On-Highland used to be) may be your best bets, but you'll still need to check first.

i thought the new italian place was considering starting to serve brunch but wasn't actually serving it yet...? is that wrong?

Doesn't Mike's serve breakfast food? Mike's is quite a fun place to watch a game -- better than Joshua Tree, imho.

Mike's is a great place to watch a game, and they'll probably be open, but they no longer serve breakfast.

When did that happen? I believe you, I just missed it somehow.

I don't know. I went in some morning a few months ago and asked for a breakfast menu, and they told me that they had discontinued breakfast.

several months ago, at least. someone that knows the owner said he had decided it wasn't cost-effective to remain open for breakfasts.

Doh! I second Mike's. They do breakfast (so they've definitely be open) and they've got a bunch of big screen TVs.

Orleans definitely serves brunch, and will definitely be showing the game. If you go, I'll probably see you there.

I don't know if they serve brunch, but there are plenty of places in Harvard Square open at that time with TVs. Charlie's Kitchen, for starters.

PJ Ryan's?

They show Sox games. They serve brunch. It would be a shock to me if they weren't getting in on the fun next Monday.

dubious weather for baseball
