Somerville Journal missing from Google News?

I've noticed for the past few weeks the Journal, and some other local papers at Townonline.com that I keep up with, are not indexed by Google News anymore. It isn't because of the redesign of the site this week; it started before that.

I'm really into using Google News to keep up what's happening in town, because it can scan all the local papers, the college papers, everything. But it's not the same anymore.

Anyone else feel the same way? I can't be the only one.

I (this is Meghann Ackerman, by the way) am very aware of this problem. I don't really understand the technical reason behind it, but this is part of the reason we joined you lovely folks on LiveJournal...to update you when cool or breaking news go up on the site.

I remember a lot of the articles used to be at www2.townonline.com, and now they're at www.townonline.com. Perhaps Google's spiders are still looking for www2.

Anyway they have a form online where you can request that your site be indexed. http://www.google.com/support/news_pub/bin/request.py You might want to mention that all the Townonline-hosted papers seem to be affected too.
