I'm in the process of replacing a toilet seat cover, but the existing plastic nuts are stuck to the plastic bolts...and while I can unscrew the bolts some, the nuts won't move. So, I need to saw the bolts off at the top of the bowl.

So... does anyone have a hacksaw (or small coping saw) I could borrow for the job? Or, I suppose you could come over and do it yourself if you prefer.

I'm using all my tools like crazy right now since I'm doing pretty serious work on the house, so no loaners, but they have hacksaws at Tags for less than $15. It's a useful thing to have around the house.

This may sound like a dumb question, but you are removing the nuts on the underside, not on the top, correct?
