Does anyone have any suggestions of great places to get yarn? I don't want super fancy expensive stuff, just a good assortment of colors and styles. I've tried Pearl in Central Square, but they're always wiped out, and I've looked at Woolcot in Harvard Square, but I don't want anything that expensive. Thanks in advance for your suggestions!

Date: 2003-12-01 10:24 pm (UTC)another place to look would be tribal ways (yes that would be the piercing/tattoo studio in boston) in addition to body piercing, they now have "spirit ways" for pagan/wiccan supplies, and "fiber ways" for yarn spining and weaving (i am not sure if they sell spun yarn, or if they just sell wool and other fibers to spin yourself.) their website is www.tribalways.com
if you have a car or access to a car there is a great fabric store in woburn that has a very very good yarn section. i cant remember what the name of the fabric store is (i think it may be jo-anne) but its off of 128/95 north (i believe exit 36) and its in the same mall that tj maxx and panera bread are in (signs for both are visable from teh highway) (its on the opposite side of the highway from charette if you know where that is)
