Are there places that have free WiFi access? I heard Carberry's? Is that correct? What about Diesel Cafe?

Carberry's has a free WAP, but its connection to the Internet often seems to be nonfunctional -- I get an IP from DHCP okie dokie, and then can't ping anything outside. I haven't bothered to ask the counterfolks about this yet. It's certainly nice when it does work.

Diesel gets bleed-over wiresless signal from the Starbucks across the street, so you can use its T-Mobile WAP, if you care to pay for it. (Accessing any Web page on that network will take you to a page explaining how that-all works.)

Dunno, haven't used it. IIRC, though, there are both N-cents-per-minute and X-dollars-per-month plans you can order. I've been tempted to try one since I'm already a T-Mobile cellphone customer, and can apparently have the charges added to my existing monthly bill.

On the other hand, bring my laptop to the café and thus cloistering myself away from Internet access so I can actually get some work done can be a good thing. :)

carberrys is hard to held a connection unless you sit near the sugar in the corner.

I can get the starbucks signal inside of diesel... yay! i hate starbucks.
