Late night dining?

Are there any good late night dining options in the Somerville/Cambridge area? Specifically, from 10PM to 1AM or 2AM? I know that Machu Picchu in Union is sometimes open until 1AM and Kaya in Porter is also open until 1AM, but any other restaurants?

Depends on what you're looking for, but Diesel is open until 11:30 and they've got some killer salads.

Both Redbones & John Harvard have late night menus till 12:30 am. Harvard I think keeps serving till 2 am on Saturday. Cambridge Common serves till 2 am Thurs, Fri, Sat, and 1 am other nights.

Spike's is open until at least 11, especially on weekends. Rudy's in Teele Square is open until 11 on most nights and later on the weekends.

Both are rather mediocre, but Christopher's and Pizzeria Uno in Porter Square are open late (past midnight).

The sandwiches at the White Hen (also in Porter) are better than you'd expect, though not worth bothering with during hours when there are other options, and they're open 24 hours.

I actually like Pizzeria Uno and Christopher's, but my boyfriend hates Christopher's. Uno is good for appetizer-ish stuff and stuffed pizza; I like Christopher's for the veggie burgers and fries. The homemade veggie burger rocks, although the buns are a bit too bready - I hate burgers that are mostly bun. The fries are some of the more addictive I've had.

The Porter Square one changed too? Huh, I didn't notice that. They still had sandwiches when I was last there, sometime in March. I don't know anything more recent than that.

The White Hen at Mass. Ave. and Day Street closed a couple of years ago. After a few months, it reopened as "Bread and Butter Konvenience [sic]", which does not make sandwiches and is seriously inferior to the earlier White Hen.

The Porter Square White Hen changed its name much more recently, without closing. However, I haven't been there in a while to see if its merchandise has changed.

Yes but there's the new White Hen almost as close to Davis in Ball Square.

Yes, I think the new name is "Gourmet Express." It's still run by the same person/family, they just went independent and are no longer a White Hen. They are now stocking many more upscale items than they used to. I've never gotten a sandwich there, though...I should give it a try.

That reminds me of my old life in the mid-Atlantic, when my evenings would just be starting at 10:00 or 11:00 PM. Now, that's what time I'm going home usually.

I think the All-Star Sandwich Bar in Inman is open late.

The only 24-hour places I know about are the mcdonalds in the Twin Cities strip mall in Cambridge, and the South Street Diner down by South Station.

The IHOP in Brighton (??) is open 24 hours. It's quite the scene there late at night.

Felipe's in Harvard Square is open until about 2 on weekends and possibly some other nights--I'm not really sure of their exact hours.

Some other options... In Davis Gargoyle's bar menu is available until 11-ish, Sagra's late night menu is available until closing (varies), and Diva lounge's Indian style tapas (not sure how late). Closer towards Harvard Square, West Side Lounge serves until midnight during the week and until 1 am on the week-end.

At last night's Davis Square Task Force meeting, the owner of Anna's Tacqueria said he intended to apply for a license to stay open until 1 am (and also open at 7 am for breakfast burritos).
