hee... It _is_ good that the website will still be going strong, if mixes work for y'all... love your icon. Have several friends who are at that writing frustration place.
Nooooo! It's our routine to stop for tea/chai/hot chocolate after each of my prenatal visits at mount auburn. I'm just about to have to go every two weeks, and now they won't be open? :(
I hope so too. When they removed a few tables at the back a year and a half or so ago, I asked them about it, and they said it had something to do with Cambridge fire regulations. If you go at the right time of day, it's often possible to get a seat, but certainly not at peak times or on weekends.
Interesting. I'd assumed that they were trying to discourage people from hanging around there, because space had always been limitting, turn it into more of a stop-in carryout place.
Actually, what I've heard second-hand about the renovation is that they are moving a lot of the manufacturing stuff downstairs to open up more room upstairs for seating.
It makes an incredible amount of sense to move the behind-the-scenes stuff downstairs, since it's horribly inefficient at the moment.
I so totally agree that it was too too cramped in there. Almost a reason to avoid it sometimes, so I hope the fix will address that well. Gak, how will we manage the wait...
If I read their website (http://www.burdickchocolate.com/harvard-chocolates.asp) right, they will be open for "chocolate sales" around Harvard graduation. I can't tell if that means they will only be selling boxes of chocolate or what, but one could get enough chocolate mice to last the duration.
The other thing is, there _are_ some other locations that sell Burdick's mice(Not imitations, really Burdick's) that probably order from HQ. Fromaggio Kitchen on Huron Ave. is the main other one I know. I'll check whether anything will change with them. And I didn't realize that the original Fr. Kitch. in in the South End. Glee, I envision an expedition.
