Suzanne Bremer, a Columbus Avenue resident, has taken out papers to run for mayor. Do I sense a race coming on? We’ll see when all the signatures are turned in.

Edit: I briefly spoke with Bremer (expect a full interview tomorrow evening) and she tells me she’s “a progressive democrat running for mayor.”

Yeah, it is kinda uncool. This community was here first (and before I was, for sure -- I'm just sayin'), and clearly the Somerville Journal wants to take advantage of its popularity. Participation is great, but constantly posting to look away isn't.

I agree with c_m_i. Linking to a one sentence post in another blog is bush league. Linking to -an interview- would have been cool, but this post only exists to drive traffic to another site.

I think she is allowed to link. Her posts are a lot more interesting than those people listing their apartments for rent. Plus the people on this blog just might learn something new about the city they live in. If you aren't interested you can skip her posts. I like having them here.

I agree that there's no problem linking. The issue is when s/he deliberately withholds information in an effort to drive traffic somewhere else.
