Hey,
Anyone take Capoeira, and want to tell me about their studio or club? Better yet, anyone used to take Capoeira at a place they didn't like, and now take it at one they prefer?
I'm looking for a place to try this out, and want to know which one I should go to. There are a surprising lot.

Date: 2007-06-13 03:13 am (UTC)I study under Professor Marquinho, of Capoeira Gerais / Mestre Mao Branca. We currently study monday nights at the Fred Astaire Dance Studio, just outside South Station (an easy red line ride from davis). It's a smallish/new group right now, Marquinho has been working to grow and start a formal school... so beginners are very welcome; and won't feel out-classed. He's an excellent teacher raised in Brasil and a well respected professor de capoeira.
See fadsboston.com for class information.

Date: 2007-06-16 03:33 am (UTC)I searched online and discovered that CasaNia moved out of state, and there is a class at Inner Space in Brookline on Saturday afternoons. (I also saw a listing at the FADS, but we can't do Monday nights)
