Somerville Theater is starting to show midnight movies(also other times) and - this weekend is Smokey and the Bandit - upcoming weeks are Pee Wee's Big Adventure, Princess Bride, Wet Hot American Summer!!!!, Road House!!!!, Dazed and Confused. Somerville theater also now serves beer/wine etc.

Also, the city of Somerville is showing FREE movies Thursdays at dusk:

The schedule for movies will be as follows:

July 5 - Just Like Heaven , Seven Hills Park

July 12 - To Kill A Mockingbird, Seven Hills Park

July 19 - Mean Girls, Seven Hills Park

July 26 - Babe, Conway Park

August 2 - Rent, Seven Hills Park

August 9 - Happy Feet Prospect Hill Park

August 16 - North By Northwest , Seven Hills Park

August 23 - Viewer's Choice, Seven Hills Park

Movie attendees will again be able to vote for one of four films that will be shown on the last Thursday in the series as a Viewer's Choice selection. Residents will be able to cast their vote at each movie or on the City's website, www.ci.somerville.ma.us, starting Thursday, July 5th. This year's Viewer's Choice selections are: Footloose, Ferris Bueller's Day Off, Sleepless in Seattle, and Citizen Kane.
