My car is parked on a street that is supposed to get swept the first wednesday of every month. Should I move it for tomorrow or do you think the metermaids take the 4th off?

I would call 311 and ask, but my guess is that since tomorrow is a holiday no street sweeping will happen.

I'm pretty sure parking regulations are not in effect on holidays.

There should be a street sweeping schedule online somewhere.

wouldn't that be convenient! I get the boston streetsweeper email to remind me, but now I live on Beacon street which apparently has different days on different sections of it, but since you can't put in your exact address I now get emails just about everyday for street cleaning. Very inefficient.

You may want to try using their "Submit A Street" form (http://www.boston.com/yourlife/specials/submit_street/). There's a comment section where you could note that the different sections have different schedules.

I'm pretty sure both meter-enforcers and street-sweepers take the 4th off.
