I need to procure an air conditioner for the living room before my mom comes to visit in August (I'm giving her my air conditioned room). Before I go hunting on Craigslist, I thought I'd ask my neighbors if anyone has a functioning window AC they want to unload. I can give you $50 for it if you can deliver it. (I don't drive.)

I have a spare A/C. It's old and currently dusty in my basement but it worked great for me, even cooling a pretty big space. $25 if you come pick it up? I'll clean it up for you.

I mean, old not as in "from the 50's" but it's not programmable and has twisty knobs instead of the more modern buttons.

This frigidaire unit (http://www.amazon.com/Frigidaire-FAA055P7A-Conditioner-Electronic-Controls/dp/B0009T6ACO) has free shipping from amazon and it's 11 EER, which makes it very efficient- old AC units burn lots of power, so it's often a good idea to just get a new one.
