parking for one week

Hi, my friend is here from California and we need a place to park his car for a week, next week (July 23-27), close to Davis Square.  We'll pay $40, $8 a day.  If you have extra driveway space or a roommate that's away, please let me know.  Thanks!

If no one steps forward, Alewife is $5 every 24-hours and he could park there and take the train back over one stop.

Alewife is now closed to overnight parking for repairs. I've got the same dilemna coming up - usually I'd just park at Alewife.

You can usually call Traffic & Parking and get a temporary pass for visitors. They've actually been very helpful whenever I've called.

they've also been great for getting temporary passes for your party guests! a friend of mine did that and she was able to score 20 (!) passes.

to original poster, note that some streets are not permit parking required (broadway, for instance. holland possibly). check somerville traffic and parking website page for the list of permit streets (.pdf file iirc.)
