Which grocery store?

Any recommendations for nearby grocery stores besides Shaws? I absolutely hate that place. It's so crowded, and the prices aren't great. So ideally, some place that's cheaper where you don't bump into someone every 3 seconds.

Date: 2007-07-27 01:12 am (UTC)I like Pemberton Farms on Mass Ave (right outside Davis), but it can get pricey quick. GREAT organic produce, though, and a lot of really great gourmet stuff.
I also will generally trek to River Ave Whole Foods, the Trader Joe's on Memorial Drive, and the Market Basket in Somerville - the last has shockingly good produce for how cheap everything is, but yes - you do have to fight the crowds a bit. I've been there from 12-3 and still had to battle crowds. Hell 10 in the morning there were still crowds. But I got four bags of groceries (including much fresh produce) for about $30, so I didn't complain.
