So, this is the first time I've had to put the new permit in the same place as the old one. Has anyone found a foolproof method to remove the residual adhesive from your window? Will acetone do it? In the past, I could afford to be a bit haphazard....

I'd doublecheck with an auto glass shop, but I use Goof Off (available in hardware stores) to remove adhesive from old bumper stickers. Just need to make sure it's safe to use on shatter-proof glass and won't chemically melt it.

My brand is called "Goo Gone." That and a razor blade should do it.

You can also just turn your hairdryer on to the sticker. Warm adhesive comes right off.
