Brown School Card?

Sadly, I was out of town for ArtBeat and missed my annual opportunity to buy a Brown School Card. Someone here must know whom to contact about buying a 2007-2008 card before my current one expires.

A Brown School Card is a plastic card that entitles you to a discount at various Davis-area businesses. Buying it supports various programs at the Brown School, which is a public elementary school near Davis Square.

I don't think the Arts Council will help, as they're not involved with this program.

Sadly, Johnny D's has again reduced their benefit. It's particularly sad because before the dropped it to only $5 off, I would go there all the time for drinks, and now I don't, so they're making way less money off of me now. And the next card is only $3 off.

I talked to one of the owners when they reduced it last year and was told they just lost too much money because of it. I know I wasn't the only one who was there a lot more often (and buying a lot more drinks) because of the discount, but they don't see it that way. The further reduction this year make clear that they really don't care about drumming up more business via the card.

Ah well.
