I ask because there is a probably apocryphal story like that in my old industry, bank security:
Robber wrote a note on Bank A's deposit slip, then realized branch was too busy, he'd be noticed and or stopped.
He went across the street, to Bank B.
Bank B teller said "I'm sorry, we only accept hold up notes written on OUR stationery. You'll have to return to bank A."
Robber left, slightly confused, and was arrested at Bank A, after police were tipped off by Bank B.
