The one problem is that I doubt Verizon will cover this under my insurance plan... also, can it access the database that stores numbers in cast of lost phone/back up numbers to the database?

It's GSM, so it actually won't work on Verizon; Verizon uses CDMA, and they're deliberately incompatible with GSM phones. Sorry about that.

Although with this one, if you're worried about losing phone numbers, you can always back them up on your computer with PC Suite(which is what I've done with mine).

Not particularly, no; if I'm not going to sell the phone I'm just going to keep using it as a spare, myself(only reason I'm selling it is because I got a Nokia N73), and I'd just end up having to buy another microSD for it.

I was just going by rough cost of what I'd paid altogether. Firmware upgrade was $35, MicroSD was about 30-40(can't remember), and the hardware itself was $325 when I bought it and I've kept it good as new, but yeah, I'd certainly accept around that much for it, hence "or best offer". I'm going to assume that the reputable vendor part wasn't meant as a shot at me.

Additionally, having looked over Mobile Planet's ratings, don't know that they're exactly what I'd call a reputable dealer, but hey, that's why I prefer to deal with people face-to-face when I'm buying stuff, myself.

On an unbranded E50 (yes, I've owned one) you can use the USB cable and Nokia Software Update to flash it yourself for free.

(just a useful tip, not a dig at you...)

There are also a lot of better vendors out there than Mobile Planet, with better prices. (watch out for those "Dell" people though, i hear they're crap.)

Yeah, but I've also seen how many people fuck up their phones using Software Update(a buddy of mine runs a flashing/unlocking business, and the sheer number of people who screw up their flashings is insane).
