Hi there, I'm new to the Davis square area, and wondering if anyone knows any good violin teachers in the area, looking for my first grader. Better yet would be someone willing to trade violin lessons for photography services, as I'm always up for a good barter.

violin-string camp

I don't know of any violin teachers, but an fyi that there is a string camp held every summer at one of the public schools in Somerville (not sure if it's the same one each year.) I am pretty sure it's not directly affiliated with the schools so even if your child doesn't take lessons through the school they can attend. They take kids of all ages. I've heard good things about it. Just an FYI for next summer!

The public school also offers lessons, I think.
