The other day I heard a really loud repeating noise and it turned out to be the MBTA phone for the staff on duty, so maybe that's what you're hearing?

ticket machine

One of the ticket machines is giving off a loud alarm sound. I noticed that no one was giving it a second look on Friday. Not even the guys working there. Whatevs.
