Does anyone want to know more about composting? I would like to give a small informal workshop to help get people started and find out what people know about it.

If you are interested in learning about this great practice, how to fit it into your life and a better understanding of what makes it work, this is workshop for you. We will discuss how to get a discounted compost bin from Cambridge and Somerville city governments. You'll learn Dos and Don't, troubleshooting, and tips and tricks as well as the benefits for yourself, your wallet, and your surroundings.

I am a Certified Master Composter and have given many workshops on composting. Please comment if you are interested and we'll go from there. It will be held in or walkable to Davis Square this weekend.

I would love to go! Can you teach people to compost who live in apt. spaces?

I'm also interested in apt. composting, but this weekend doesn't work for me. Any chance there will be others?

I'd be interested, although likely not able to attend this weekend (at least not Saturday; Sunday is do-able). Regardless, if not this weekend, I'd be interested in other weekends.

This workshop sounds perfect, but this weekend is not so good. Sunday is better for me, if I can come at all...

I inherited a composter with the apartment I just moved into. I grew up in the country where composting was much lower tech, and I haven't gotten my brain around urban composting. So I'd definitely be interested in learning more.

I'd be interrested, depending on day and time.

Also, there's a relatively active homebrewing community around Davis. I'd be interested to learn more about composting spent grains (I've heard they compost really well, but are they considered high carbon or high nitrogen or balanced? How do you keep them from smelling bad?)

I'd be interested in learning more about this. I just moved into a place I'll be for at least a year, and so long as the smell isn't so offensive my neighbors would complain, I'm pretty sure I could talk my roommates into it.
