Sep. 26th, 2007 02:06 pmHair cuts for men?
I usually cut my own hair in my bathroom with an electric trimmer, and I'm ok with that.
But... I'm getting married shortly, and I need a place to get a nice haircut.
I've gotten recommendations for places in back bay and south boston, but that's a haul. Anyone have suggestions for a swank mens haircuttery in the general Camberville area?
Thanks for any advice!
Edit:
Ended up at Salon Cu with Umberto.
The guys are Boston-area natives, super-friendly, and gave me not only a great haircut but really good advice on how to deal with it best for wedding photos and what-not.
I'll definitely be back there someday, and highly recommend them. Friendliest customer-service I've had since moving to Boston.

Could be a nice pre-wedding splurge for yourself. They even do group sessions for bachelor parties. :)

Honestly? mine usually come out better, at least in the front and sides where I can see.

Date: 2007-09-27 01:32 am (UTC)I mean, I assume you were aiming for something a little bit higher end than the $10 haircuts mentioned above, but I'm not sure where the other end of your budget is.

Date: 2007-09-28 01:07 pm (UTC)FYI, my fiancee's haircut at Maksou was around three times the cost, before tip. Men's hair tends to be a lot shorter and take a lot less time than women's, plus I think some of these salons dsicount men's haircuts to try to get happy customers (loike me) who will expand their market.
