The Post-Meridian Radio Players (www.pmrp.org) are almost ready for their Halloween staged-radio thrillogy, Tomes of Terror II, but we're still missing a few things. We're hoping the folks from Davis Square can help us!
The following items are needed for our sound effects setup:
If you're local and have anything that may work, or know where we might look for or obtain them (preferably free or very cheap), please let us know. You'll get an acknowledgment in the program and our eternal gratitude! :)
The following items are needed for our sound effects setup:
- Several empty prescription bottles (they'll be destroyed, so appearance doesn't matter: feel free to scrape the labels off)
- Door knob or deadbolt lock with keys
- Several pressed-paper egg cartons, one dozen size preferred
- Chunks or blocks of wood 1"-4" in size (wood scraps, craft pieces, kid's letter blocks, etc.)
- Old pair of men's hard-soled shoes
- Chunks of broken concrete or stones 2"-5" in size
- Model, statue or small picture/painting of a 19th century sailing ship (needs to sit on the corner of a desk)
- Several very large, hard-bound books

We do the show in front of a live audience and, because of that, we like to include some elements of a stage production. We have a Host who comes out to introduce each play and she has a desk where she occasionally sits while talking to the audience. For each play there is going to be an item on the desk relating to the story. The ship is for our production of "The Stone Ship" by William Hope Hodgson.
