This is apparently where the XKCD meetup was a few weeks ago. To signup, go to the Slashdot link above, select MA from the search field, then select the first location and click Attend Party.

Anyone else find it kinda weird that Slashdot is following xkcd for location? I mean, it's a lovely little park and all, but it's not really all that convenient for public transit (or parking, I'd imagine).

It's a 7-10 minute walk from Davis station and just a few steps away from the #77 bus. Parking is free and easy on a Sunday.

It's maybe a 5 minute walk from Alewife station - people might think of Alewife as no-man's land but in reality that's as convenient as it gets! Parking not so much, it's all resident, but it's super close to the T. You just have to exit at the non-parking garage side.

Slashdot didn't set the meeting site. Anyone can setup their own meeting site if they want and someone decided to do it where the XKCD meetup was. There are a few other Slashdot anniversary meetups in MA, but this one is the closest to me and it was in Davis so I thought I'd post it here.
