D² on Highland Ave
Oct. 17th, 2007 12:12 pmThis store is awesome. I'm very happy with the quality of merchandise and I wish them much success in Davis Square.
I bought some amazing jewelry, a Davis Square shirt, a box of almond soaps, a "Lucky Pennies" sign for my back entry and a few other things.
Just like any new business, it takes time to work out the kinks, house a good inventory and find a balance of creating the vision that is in harmony and compatible with the neighborhood and the market. And so far, they're doing a great job. I'm looking forward to popping in on a regular basis. They are friendly and helpful, and I'm going back!
And even if you're not in the market for buying something, you have to check out the switch plate on the wall to the left as you come in the door. It's the coolest copper design. It's official, I'm in love.

Date: 2007-10-17 05:32 pm (UTC)So let me get this straight...you think that it's not possible for a new poster to actually like a new store and post about it? Or that all new posters are supposed to only post uncomplimentary things?
Good grief.
You are an untrusting sort. Why don't you come over to my place and try on my new jewelry?

Date: 2007-10-17 05:37 pm (UTC)I am really shocked at how many people in here suffer from fear, paranoia and suspicion. Is this why so few people are friendly here?
I certainly don't understand the hate and inappropriate reaction.

Date: 2007-10-17 05:40 pm (UTC)Do you think that people are "out to get you" and conspiring to rob you of your tin foil too?!

Date: 2007-10-17 06:05 pm (UTC)I'm just a little sad that this thread was cyberjacked the way it was. I wish the focus would have stayed with D-Squared and gotten a little more posting about the store.
Life's too short to hold grudges. :-)And all is well.
