Music Schedule Changes at Johnny D's
Oct. 24th, 2007 11:44 amMaybe not surprisingly, Johnny D's has postponed the music events scheduled for tonight and tomorrow night, in favor of showing the World Series on the big screen. Tonight's Gypsy Cimbalom Band show has been moved to Tuesday, Nov. 13 and tomorrow's Brazilian dance band Samba Tremeterra will play on Friday, Nov. 30.
The cimbalom band, incidentally, is amazing. The leader, Calman Balogh, is generally recognized as the world's greatest player of the cimbalom, a Hungarian instrument similar to a hammered dulcimer. If you have any interest in world music, you should try to catch them next month.
