I walked past the corner of Wallace & Holland (where the Comcast office is) a little while ago and noticed that, a few houses down Wallace, there was crime scene tape across a driveway, as well as a uniformed policewoman and several other people behind the tape. Anyone have any idea what happened? It looks like the Somerville Journal's blog doesn't say anything about it yet.

I was wondering about that. Unmarked cars + tape + inspectors would tend to mean something serious-- murder, home invasion, drug bust, something like that.

I should have gone and asked but I felt kind of weird approaching cops doing their jobs. They're gone now and the crime tape is gone too... not sure what happened..

The Journal says another Tufts student was hit by a car at Broadway and Wallace, but this doesn't sound like the same location.

brown house on even side of street - I believe the number is 16

It's on the same side of the street as the Comcast building, and was very close to it - I can't remember the exact distance, but it was 1-3 houses down from Comcast. It's one with a driveway on the left side of the house.

I don't remember the number, so I don't know if it was definitely 16 Wallace.

I can check the Journal's blog again right now to make sure there hasn't been anything added about it.

I still haven't seen anything in the local media but have heard that a homeless man was found dead in a car in the driveway of 16 Wallace Street.

Me neither. I wrote to the Journal's newsperson... if it's a deceased person in a parked car that would explain it, though. And if they haven't identified them or informed relatives, that would explain the media not reporting it.

My neighbor says she asked the cops and that's what happened. Homeless guy crawled into one of fix-up project cars they keep 'round back and passed out and died. :(
