only saw the sign driving by but in the block of stores where the cupcake place is - one of the empty store fronts has a sign with "When Pigs Fly" and "opening soon" and "fresh bread". Could be a joke

OR it could be that there will FINALLY be a place in Davis to buy decent bread. Yay!

(and then I can go to BSC to work off the carbs. See, the creator has a master plan...)

If you can make bread half as good as theirs, I guarantee you'll sell it.

Poor Dante. He doesn't deserve to be accented like that.

Bread pans? What are those? We don't need no steenkin' bread pans!

(That whole wheat loaf was the my first time baking bread in an actual loaf pan.)

(And I really need to get the other bread I've done up there, too. But really, it's just that I'll take an opportunity to whore my food blog.)

I'd love to try it. (Maybe we should have given some out during Reverse Trick-or-Treat.)

On Halloween, [livejournal.com profile] pheromone and I and a bunch of other folks dressed up in costumes and went house-to-house, giving stuff away (beer, wine, rum, cider).

I'm not sure homemade is the best plan for RToT, though if I did, I'd probably go with baguettes (not yet posted) and let people tear off their own hunk. Plus it'd go well with the wine!

Do you make challah? Even better, as it's intended for people to tear pieces off.

I made challah once (http://community.livejournal.com/vegancooking/1833471.html) and should really get around to doing it again.

Yes, the wedding is off, alas, since you pointed out that I can't support you in the style to which you're accustomed. At least, I'm presuming that the lifestyle to which you're accustomed doesn't involve two small kids and continuous utter chaos. ;)

But we can still be friends! It's not you, it's me!

It is a couple bucks cheaper when you buy from them at the farmer's market or at the grocery store.

On their locator page they say their bread is sold at one store in Somerville and one store in Sommerville ;-)
