thanks. Zoots only does dry cleaning, and their pick-up/drop-off area does not include Somerville. but i will give Teele Square Laundromat a call. though it'd be nice to comparison shop :)

Off topic, but ... their pickup/dropoff area doesn't include Somerville ?! They're just a few hundred feet from the city line!

according the their website it does not. it doesn't seem all that strange since they're a chain. i had a hell of a time getting a Domino's pizza delivered on Boston Ave a few years back; the one in Davis itself is closest, but they said it fell into a different service area, which of course was not open as late.

You got me curious, so I started poking around the internets. Looks like North Cambridge Laundromat might have a pick up & delivery service (someone mentioned it in the comments). Might at least be worth a phone call:

I used to like Domenics laundry in Medford. It's right on the Medford/Somerville line.

just to clarify since i hate the phone and want to avoid unnecessary calls, they did home pick-up and drop-off? (i'm asking because i'm not sure why their location is relevant as long as they service Davis)

No, I would drop off my laundry, and then pick it up later. It would be all nice and folded, etc. I'm not sure if they had delivery, but I never knew that type of service ever existed.

Guess I misread the question, but you could call them and ask.

that type of service totally exists :) you pay more for it, but i'm okay with that.
i have a couple other options that look good though, so i think i am set!

I can, but the place I sometimes use is in Southie and probably wouldn't be keen on trekking up to Davis.

i think it's fair to assume when one asks for a LOCAL recommendation in the Davis Square community they mean local to Davis Square.

There are two or more places in Teele that do it, but I don't remember the name of the one other than Teele Square Laundromat. I see it when I walk around.
