Anyone know where I can locally get a vacuum repaired? I do have a car, so if I have to schlepp it, that would be easy for me.
If I can't get it fixed, would anyone be interested in taking it off my hands? It's a perfectly serviceable upright Hoover that works fine on hard floors - the motor that runs the carpet brush has burned out and we have a bunch of carpets in our place. Delivery included! I just don't want to throw the thing out.
Thanks!
Update: Thanks to all who responded. I went to the sewing place in Davis (across the street from the crepe place) and the helpful, non-nonsense guy in there magically fixed our vacuum (simply debris in the switch)! Another big ugly thing saved from the landfill! YAY!! BTW, if you've never been in there, they had some swanky Miele vacuums in there. We might stop back in to take a closer look at them. Vacuums are sexy, no? :D
