Scrubby Bubbles Laundromat is CLOSED

Scrubby Bubbles, the laundromat on the south side of Mass. Ave. just west of Hollis Street, is no more. A sign on the door says they lost their lease, and are closed as of Tuesday, February 19.

This is a bummer for me, since it's the only laundromat I've ever used since moving here in 1992. I'm not a regular there, but it's where I've always gone if my apartment building's machines are busy or out of order. It's the only one within short walking distance from where I live.

I had the same thing happen to me a while back. What i ended up doing was buying a small washer (http://wize.com/washing-machines/t591-portability) that could attach to my sink and easily be moved around. It makes it easy for those times when the apartments washer and dryer are out of order.
