After seeing this http://www.wickedlocal.com/somerville/homepage/x565326036 and nearly wiping out on my bike a few times this week, I put together a map of nasty potholes around town: http://9neighbors.com/potholes
Anybody can add to the map, so if you know of specific offenders, by all means, add them.
I'm going to get in touch w/ the public works folks in Somerville and Cambridge and see if they can add these to their to-do list ...

Date: 2008-03-01 05:40 pm (UTC)There's also Boston bike route info site that you might want to check out and add your pothole info to - http://www.therightride.org/. The hazards section is already kind of overrun, but it is still useful.

Date: 2008-03-02 01:54 am (UTC)somerville is usually pretty good at responding to complaints of potholes. i saw a paving patch truck and crew doing their thing on beacon street the other day. if you call 311 and report specific addresses, they'll usually respond within a few days.
the problem is endemic to not only somerville but the whole metro area. and if you think it's bad in somerville/cambridge, try belmont! their entire road system is one big patch.
