The GoGreen Davis Square group was featured on a Living on Earth segment about efforts to battle global warming in Massachusetts. Including quotes from three Davis Square businesses (Johnny D's, Diesel Cafe and PlanetTech.

That's great to see Davis Square getting recognition on these issues and hopefully helping to inspire a change in thinking. Congratulations to GoGreen Davis--I wonder how they caught the attention of Living on Earth.

Additionally, the Somerville Solar Challenge is certainly a rewarding (and important) way to take a part on a personal (or business) level.

"I wonder how they caught the attention of Living on Earth."

I'm pretty sure that the production offices of "Living on Earth" are in Davis SQ.

The studios are at 20 Holland St. and they mention it at the start of every show ("From the Jennifer and Ted Stanley Studios in Somerville, Massachusetts, this is Living on Earth.")

My old boyfriend and I in college long ago thought we should come up with a T-shirt that would read "Who Are Jennifer and Ted Stanley?" since every NPR program seemed to be sponsored by them.
And now their Studio is here in the 'ville!
And I still don't have a clue about them.

Filed under Blue Blooded Opinions Some bad news on a rainy day here in the Ville. As you all know, we are big fans here of the Woo and news has come that there is an illness in his family which has caused him to have to leave his Fort Wayne Mad Ants Developmental League team and head back to Poland.

As it is, there is no way to take a science class w/ a lab and work MWF or TTH schedule.   They need to be held concurrently.

I seem to remember Ricky being guest of honour at Spurs a few years back and fighting back the tears at the standing ovation he received.
