Do you mean there's a particular therapist you want more information about, or are you just trying to find recommendations for a therapist who is in the BCBS/Magellan plan?

What qualities are important to you in a therapist?

Are you looking for someone who is queer friendly, specializes in depression, specializes in elder issues, focuses on relationships?

Is there a particular kind of therapy you think you would find most helpful (cognitive behavior therapy, or Freudian analysis)?

You might first check with your insurance plan to see who is in your network in Somerville and the surrounding area. (It's probably a limited number.) Then you can search for information online about those therapists. (Alternatively, you can also ask your insurer whether you have coverage for therapists who are out of network, which would give you more options.)

Oh, I forgot to mention. Also ask what your insurance covers -- including what type of therapy, how many visits and how much you will have to pay for each visit. (In some cases, you might be better off skipping the insurance and finding the best, most affordable therapist you can on your own -- especially if you have trouble finding a good therapist that takes your insurance plan.)
