In that it was not even room temperature. I was mucho disappointed. I've never eaten at the Davis Sq Chipotle, so I don't know the burrito norms, but on a scale of 1 (frozen) to 10 (hot!)I'd rate this burrito a very gross 3.
I'm 4/4 with ice cold burritos at Chipotle, so you're not alone. I'll brave the line tonight for free food (hey, once a graduate student...), but I'm not planning on buying anything there until they fix the problem. Taqueria La Mexicana in Union is the way to go, if a bit far.
When I was passing thru davis on the "jp licks free ice cream" day, the line was literally down the block.
I wonder how far the line is going to be this evening around 7pm. Anybody want to bet on a "over or under" for the line reaching the dunkin donuts? I'd take over on that bet. How is the line going to cross the street is anyones guess.
From historical experience at the Chipotle opening in Harvard Square, only burritos were free. Several people asked about bowls and were told that they were not free.
When you say free- I'll bet that line goes down to Dunkins then all the way down to Chester then starts to wrap down Mass ave. Of course those burritos are cold I doubt that line will go far- would that be the same as hot beer?
Are they pre-made or do they allow for weird eating habits? I actually really like their burritos, for the Mexican-style ones (I like the Teriyaki at Boloco best overall).
assuming this works like the Harvard/Brighton versions of this event, burritos are custom-created on the spot with the most efficient burrito assembly line I have ever encountered.
I didn't want to like my free burrito, but I did like it. I like my food warm. Not only was it warm and tasty with nice chicken and the corn salsa, but before I even tasted it I had carried my free burrito back to the bus stop, waited for the 87 bus, took the bus, walked home the several blocks from where I got off the bus and my free burrito was STILL warm when I ate it.
I got the Fajita Burrito. I didn't want to like the chain store burrito. But mine was good and I may even consider purchasing one some day. I declined the free soda.
