These things weren't my idea, but we should see them through to completeness. So far we have had burritos (Anna's won), coffee shop (Diesel won), and pizza (Angelina's won).

What else would you like to do? Chinese food? Best bar/ pub? Best brunch? etc.

We could probably do 3 or 4 more of these and be done. How about having the next one Chinese food? We can do that one tomorrow so today you can nominate your favorite place. Once again, there are lots of places that could deliver to the Davis Square area, so lets try to keep the suggestions within a mile radius of the Square.

Therefore, to recap:

1) What other areas would you like to poll about?
2) What is your favorite Chinese food place located within a mile of Davis Square?

1) Your favorite bar/pub is good. How about best clothing store? Best sandwich/sub? Best Thai food? There's a lot of that around, although perhaps not in Davis proper.

2) You may not include Kee Kar Lau, based on the fact that it's god awful.

I'd be interested in Best Massage (that ain't got nothing to do with sex or chiropract-y)

Chinese within a mile of Davis is tough. That delivers to Davis is easier: I nominate Wang's.

My problem with a Chinese food poll would be that I can't remember the names of any of the places, only where they're located, what they look like, and how much I do or don't like their food.

There are NO good Chinese places in or near Davis Square. I suggest taking the red line to North Quincy/Quincy Center/Wollaston where GREAT Chinese (and Vietnamese, and Thai, and Korean, and Japanese) food abounds!

Wang's in Magoun Square would like to have a word with you. Specifically, their dumplings are widely regarded by the knowledgeable folks at Chowhound to be the best around.

Closest Thai place to Davis is Thai Kitchen, on Mass. Ave. between Day and Dover streets. (That strip of stores also has a Bengal restaurant and the Grand Prix Cafe.)

SOS isn't an outdoor festival. I don't think there are enough to make a useful poll, unless you include all of the Union Square stuff like the Fluff festival.

I would put East Asia, Wang's, and QingDao Garden on a list for Chinese.

For other polls, best bar food?

Well, there's the Dragon (I think that's the name), Kee Kar Lau, Taipei Tokyo, if you wanted to stretch a point one could include Tip Top.

Best brunch would be a choice of: Renee's, Orleans, Sabur, Johnny D's, Gargoyles, Alfresco, Grand Prix, Andy's (on Mass. Ave. near Porter Square). Does Broken Yolk do brunch? Have I missed any others?

Oops, I forgot Rosebud, plus all the Ball Square places -- Ball Square Cafe, SoundBites, Kelly's Diner.
